Who is Heidi Seifert?
I have been trained in Clinical Psychology and as a Clinical Social Worker. I pursued my Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology and received my LCSW from Columbia University. Like many therapists, my style is eclectic, drawing from my years of study and life experience as a psychotherapist in New York City. Depending on your goals, I draw from a variety of techniques: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Gestalt, Motivational Interviewing, Psychodrama, etc. I use the techniques that work for you.
How Can I Help You With Your Mental Health Goals?
I am committed to guiding people who have anxiety, depression or problems with relationships to bring about their own sense of peace, accomplishment and happiness. So you can pursue your goals or enjoy the company and support of your partner.
If you are looking for a proven, experienced professional who can help you with lack of self-confidence and focus, worry and stress and help you understand how other people can stand in your way of lasting success, you’ve come to the right place. I specialize in anxiety, depression and couples counseling
I have more than 15 years’ experience working with amazing clients with similar worries and concerns guiding them to achieve remarkable success. My mission and commitment is to enhance your life and take you to a place where you can rely on yourself to do your best thinking.
Clients say amazing things about the impact my work has had on their lives. You’ll see some of those comments on my site and some reviews are left for me online. Privacy is important to me and as a psychotherapist, I adhere to strict confidentiality laws. So the positive feedback on my site does not show the patient’s name. Whatever is said in therapy is completely confidential.
What lights me up about this work is knowing that you have an amazing life waiting in the wings, you just need a different perspective that is objective and accepting of who you are and what struggles you’re facing. The joy is giving you a paradigm shift.
What sets me apart from other therapists? I will give advice. We’ll talk through the choices and decisions that you need to make. And in the end, you will know what you want. I will also give you my opinion and (sometimes) I will let you know it’s “just my opinion” and (other times) it will be more direct if I think you’re going the wrong way.
You can feel confident talking to me to help you solve your problems. Over the years, my expertise has been honored with exceptional and notable distinctions, including The NASW (National Association of Social Workers) providing a full scholarship for my graduate schooling at Columbia University. Recognition awards from NYC Child Welfare Program training others to be counselors and publishing research articles about anxiety treatment in psychology journals as a researcher. I have also spoken and presented at professional conferences for my colleagues.
If you’re ready to help get your life back, I would love to meet you. I offer a FREE 50-minute consultation in my office. This will give you the opportunity to meet me, and we can decide if you will benefit from working with me. So please call me to schedule an appointment.
